Professor YAN Zheping and Professor ZHANG Dajun Appointed as Longjiang Scholars
Recently, Heilongjiang Human Resources and the Social Security Bureau announced the name list for the 2017 Longjiang Scholars. Professor YAN Zheping and Professor ZHANG Dajun of HEU were nominated as Distinguished Professors.
The Plan of Supporting Longjiang Scholars is a significant part of cultivating high-level innovation and entrepreneurship personnel implemented by the provincial Party committee and government. It is also a comprehensive way to support the development of high-level personnel in colleges and universities. About twenty Longjiang Scholars are selected every year, among whom there are approximately ten Distinguished Professors and ten Young Scholars. Distinguished Professors are appointed for five years, and Young Scholars are appointed for three years. During the appointment period, they enjoy the bonus offered by the special project of a strong education province, with 200,000 yuan per year for Distinguished Professors and 100,000 yuan for Young Scholars. In addition, other forms of remuneration include salaries, insurance, and welfare are provided for them according to the national regulations.
At present, fifteen experts from our school have been appointed as Distinguished Professors, eight Chair Professors, and there is one Young Scholar.
