Recently, the list of winners of 13th Youth Science and Technology Prize of Heilongjiang Province was announced. Four teachers from HEU including LI Ye of the College of Shipbuilding Engineering, DU Jingtao of the College of Power and Energy Engineering, FU Jin of the College of Underwater Acoustic Engineering and ZHENG Cui'e of the College of Underwater Acoustic Engineering were among the list of winners. HEU is one of the units that won the most prizes.
The assessment of the Youth Science and Technology Prize is organized by the Organization Department of Heilongjiang Provincial Party Committee, Heilongjiang Province, Heilongjiang Human Resources and the Social Security Bureau and Heilongjiang Association for Science and Technology. The prize has been assessed every two years since 1991, and aims to encourage the scientific and technical workers to devote themselves to the great enterprise of prospering the nation with science and education, bring up the leaders of youth academics and technology in the world's scientific frontier and praise young science experts who have made remarkable contributions to social development and scientific innovation.
Brief introduction of the winners:
Dr. LI Ye of Engineering, professor of HEU, the vice president of Underwater Robot Technology Key Laboratory and member of China National Information Technology Standardization Network, has lead national and provincial or departmental projects and has been elected as ten thousand people plan of China, outstanding experts of ministry of education in new century and his paper is one of the National Excellent Doctor Dissertation nomination papers.
Dr. DU Jingtao of Engineering, professor of HEU, the Deputy Director of Vibration and Noise Control Institute, the director of national special major marine engineering, and subeditor of International Journal of Acoustics and Vibration, has won one prize for the national science and technology advancement and five provincial or departmental prizes.
Dr. FU Jin, professor of HEU, has lead three national projects and four provincial or departmental projects and has been elected as provincial universities' youth academic backbone support plan and is one among the provincial ten outstanding young position experts.
ZHENG Cui'e, assistant professor of HEU, has been researching underwater positioning and navigation and has won second prize for the national scientific invention of 2016, the second prize for technology advancement in national defense of 2016 and first prize for marine science and engineering.
