On the 8th of April, Grigory Dolgikh, a Professor of Russian Academy of Sciences, was appointed as a visiting professor atHEU. ZHANG Zhijian, Vice President of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, attended the appointment ceremony. ZHANG awarded the letter of appointment and gave him the school badge.
GGrigory Dolgikh has many titles and accolades including: Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences; Deputy Chairman of the Far Eastern Branch, Director of the Pacific Ocean Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences; Director of the Geophysics Institute; Associate Dean of the Natural Science college of the Russian Far Eastern Federal University, and the Head of the Department of Marine and Meteorological Hydrology of the Russian Far Eastern Federal University. Grigory Dolgikh has long been engaged in the study of the direction of geophysics and has achieved fruitful results in the generation and transformation of sub-acoustic oscillations. He has also conducted in-depth research on long-arm laser interferometry and has achieved the world-leading level. In the past five years, he has published more than 80 scientific papers and 8 patents. Grigory Dolgik also has extensive experience in atmospheric pressure studies on the effects of ocean waves; such as internal waves and tides, and the use of laser interferometers to detect sound propagation abnormalities on the continental shelf. He also has substantial experience in the Pacific Ocean Institute. He even has established an excellent test station that lies on a quiet island that can obtain high-quality experimental data.
