In order to sharpen the strength of China through ship-building and ocean exploration, the Collaborative Innovation Center for Deepwater Offshore Engineering and Ship Technology has integrated avariety of strengths from the top domestic universities, large-scaleenterprises, research institutes and certification organizations including HEU, DUT, TJU, SCUT, WHUT, JUST, China State Shipbuilding Corporation, ChinaShipbuilding Industry Corporation, China National Offshore Oil Corporation, CHINA INTERNATIONAL MARINE CONTAINERS (GROUP) CO., LTD, CCS, and Navy Equipment Research Institute, all of which contribute to mutually beneficial cooperation with advantages achieved through innovative coordination.
The overall development of the center isguided by the principle of integrating the innovative capacities of universities in the field of naval architecture and marine engineering while improving the competence of innovation in the industry as a mission, withlarge-scale key enterprises, research institutes and certification organizations as the targets for mutually beneficial cooperation to meet the strategic need in strengthening China through ship-building and ocean exploration.
Depending on the support and directionfrom the Ministry of Education and competent departments, the center is aimed at promoting a full-fledged advancement in technological innovation, talentcultivation and contribution to the society through unremitting innovation inmechanics and optimized resource allocation, with a hope to boost the development of naval architecture and marine engineering by first-class levels of competence.
