Navigation Technology and Equipment Institute The Institute is affiliated to Hachuanda Engineering Technology Designing Institute, and the Navigation Technology and Equipment Institute, and undertakes research involved in the development of shipping navigation system and installations. We have developed a comprehensive marine navigation console desk, nautical track instrument, platform compass etc. which have been widely used on various ships and vessels. The basic research, pre-research and technology innovation force of marine navigation discipline in HEU have provided great promotion to the institute. Power Equipment Engineering Technology Institute of HEU (PEETI) We are committed to engage in the development, researching, manufacturing, and installation and service for the relevant products of HEU College of Power and Energy Engineering. Power Equipment Engineering Technology Institute of HEU is affiliated to Hachuanda Engineering Technology Institute. A selection of the programs of the College of Power and Energy Engineering such as internal combustion engine, gas turbine engine, nuclear power were founded at Harbin Military Engineering Academy in 1950s and have an important influence on the domestic shipping power field. PEETI is undertaken many shipping industry research programs for the sake of national defense in the past years and have obtained a batch of important achievements, many of which are being utilized on products such as simulated/digital electronic speed governor, successive pressurized controller, oil consumption instrument, exhaust and noise elimination device, cool noise elimination device, and seawater silencer. The Institute's research have financial support of around 30 million yuan from the '211 Project' and Special Project, and the scientific research conditions have been greatly improved and have made considerable progress. Beisa Marine Equipment and Installation Institute Beisa Marine Equipment and Installation Institute is one of the fruitful institutes of HEU. It is engaged in the research, development and production of shipping and power control equipment and system and has been for the last 30 years. The main research directions are: shipping dynamic positioning, submersible and underwater robot control, shipping dynamic equipment monitoring etc. With the great support of State Planning Commission and the Commission of Science and Technology of National Defense Industry, the Institute has been able to develop the first developed shipping dynamic positioning technique and has formed a series of products. The dynamic positioning system that was installed on certain ROV working source-ship was evaluated internationally as the first-invented. The first surface ship dynamic positioning system, under the support of which the domestically biggest double 'I' shape submersible designed by HEU has a completed cable-controlling underwater salvage procedure. Shipping dynamic positioning products developed by the Institute have be approved by the ISO9001 quality system. The Institute has become an important production and research base. The automatic control equipments on the man-carrying deep diving submersible are products from this Institute. Beisa Marine Equipment and Installation Institute has got a batch of achievements in shipping dynamic equipment monitoring, nuclear power installation monitoring and simulation. At present there are 3 professors and 4 associate professors who have considerable experience in theory and engineering practice and also are up-to-date with recent and future technology development trend. The Institute have trained and are training more than 30 master students and candidates and more than 20 doctoral students. Great Wall Underwater Hi-Tech Co. Harbin R&D Center Jointly set up by HEU and Lanzhou Great Wall Electrical Engineering Group, and Great Wall Underwater Hi-Tech Co. Harbin R&D Center makes efforts in R&D of various underwater hi-tech products. At present their main product are Dam Safety Monitoring Robot subsidiary programs are Nondestructive Blood Sugar Testing Instrument, and Underwater Cleaning Robot, etc. The Dam Safety Monitoring Robot is the first hi-tech integration developed for dam safety monitoring. Different types of acoustic, light, electric sensing systems will be equipped on robots. Through information synthesizing in these systems, diagnosis and quality monitoring of dangerous situations for reservoirs and dams can be performed. This synthetical hi-tech product is the transformation of long-term technical accumulation in underwater field by HEU. Its further development will help to create continued contributions to national economy and the military industry. The following lists the remaining research institutes/centers in the Hi-tech Park:
