The 4th “I Support myself to College” Recruitment Expo was Held at HEU

In the morning on 19th July, organized by New Evening Daily, hosted by HEU, sponsored by China Mobile Harbin Company, Heilongjiang Talent Expo, and Heilongjiang Women and Children Fund Committee, the 4th “I Support myself to College”(summer) Collegiate Student Work-study Program Recruitment Expo was held at HEU. Over 200 enterprises provided 120 thousand part-time job opportunities which attracted 150 thousand students for interviews. Within three hours, all the 120 thousand jobs signed intentional contracts with the students. The series activities had been held for four expos since the first expo held on 20 Jan. 2007 and nearly 320 thousand students found fit work-study jobs. This expo is the first expo in summer time. Totally 200 enterprises provided 120 thousand work-study job opportunities which is also the largest in scale in the expo history, involved the largest number of enterprises and provided the largest number of job opportunities. In the opening ceremony, the 30 students were awarded with the titles of 2009 Harbin Collegiate Work-study Stars and a stipend of 1000yuan RMB for per person. Their experience and attitude encouraged the other collegiate students forward.
Through the expo, solid, close and long-term work-study platform among collegiate students, enterprises, and universities were established. The expo are receiving posited applauds from all the social parties and evoke a repercussion in the society. The media including Xinhua News Agency, covered the expo and published reports on the series activities. The story about the activities were voted as the top 10 news reports by Heilongjiang news media.
