HEU and the KSA sign a cooperative education agreement
On May 5th, HEU vice president Yang Desen was invited by Dr. Salen Ibrahim S.Alqasoumi, the cultural attache of the KSA Embassy in China, to attend the 2nd annual meeting of the KSA Embassy Cultural Office and Chinese universities held in Beijing.
At the meeting Mr. Yang Desen and Dr. Salen Ibrahim S.Alqasoum signed a cooperative education agreement regarding Saudi Arabian students studying in China. The purpose of the agreement is to promote educational cooperation between the KSA and China and to facilitate the management of Saudi Arabian exchange students in China. The signing was symbolic, representing HEU becoming a KSA government-designated university for student exchange programs.
During the meeting there were 17 Chinese universities that signed the cooperative education agreement with the KSA government. Attendants of the meeting also included HEU staff members from the College of International Cooperative Education and the International Department.
To date, three Saudi Arabian students have already finished their programs of study successfully at HEU.
