HEU has achieved great success in the 5th National College Teachers’ Self-made Experimental Teaching Equipment Innovation Competition

From October 19th to 21st, the “The 5th National College Teachers' Self-made Experimental Teaching Equipment Innovation Competition and Exhibition of Excellent Works” was held in Chengdu, Sichuan. HEU's self-made experimental teaching equipments won 1 first prize, 1 second prize, 3 third prizes, 1 road show bronze award, and 1group award.

More than 600 works from 196 colleges and universities across the country participated in the competition. The final 249 works were shortlisted with 12 first prizes, 40 second prizes and 16 group awards. Li Bing's (from College of Automation) experimental teaching software work Ship Navigation Attitude Control Virtual Simulation Experiment System won the first prize. Lv Shuping's (from College of Automation) electric work DC Motor Experimental Device won the second prize. Song Fuyuan's (from College of Automation) experimental teaching software work  Supercharged Boiler and Steam Power System Virtual Teaching Platform, Wang Gesi's (from College of Information and Communication Engineering) experimental teaching software work Analog Electronic Circuit Engineering Practice Virtual Simulation Platform and Zhang Xiaojun (from Science College) other works Ideal Gas Law Experiment Instrument won the third prize. HEU won the group award.

In the final stage of the competition, the commercial roadshow competition was first set up, focusing on the commerciality, transformation and investment of the work. Li Bing's Ship Navigation Attitude Control Virtual Simulation Experiment System won the road show Haoke Bronze Award.

Under the careful organization of HEU and the active participation of teachers from various colleges, this innovation competition fully mobilized the enthusiasm of teachers to participate in experimental teaching reform and experimental technology research, further strengthened the laboratory construction of HEU, and improved the teaching ability and professional skills of teachers. HEU will take the opportunity to further build the platform for the display, promotion and transformation of excellent self-made experimental teaching equipment, and will promote the reform and innovation of teaching methods and experimental teaching. The awarded self-made experimental teaching equipment will be applied to the experimental teaching practice of HEU, which will play an active role in the construction of HEU's Double First-Class platform and the cultivation of students' innovative practice ability.
