Academic Forum on Marine Unmanned System and Intelligent Control Technology was held at HEU

On January 11th, the 2019 Academic Committee Meeting and the Marine Unmanned System and Intelligent Control Technology Academic Forum, of the Engineering Research Center of the Ship Control Engineering Ministry of Education, was held in the Academic Report Hall of the Qihang Activity Center. HEU’s Vice President HAN Duanfeng attended the meeting. 15 experts from China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation’s 701 and 702 Research Institute, China Aerospace Science and Industry Group Second Research Institute, Naval Research Institute, Tsinghua University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Shanghai University, Naval University of Engineering, PLA, Dalian University of Technology and numerous other universities and colleges attended the meeting.

In his speech, Vice President HAN introduced the basic situation of the Research Center of the Ship Control Engineering. He expressed his hopes that this forum will focus on the construction of the Engineering center, along with the overall planning of HEU disciplines, facing the frontier of Marine Unmanned System Technology and the new pattern of China's Marine Intelligent Control Technology development by promoting the academic exchange of Marine Unmanned System Technology. At the same time, the forum  also expects to actively promote the academic atmosphere of the research center by strengthening cooperation amongst the professionals.

At the meeting, Northwestern Polytechnical University’s Dean of College of Navigation, Professor PAN Guang,  Shanghai University’s Associate Dean of College of Computer Engineering and Science,  Professor LUO Xiangfeng, Tsinghua University College of Automation’s Associate Professor, YOU Keyou and HEU College of Automation’s Professor WANG Kejun, presented highly informative theme reports of their respective fields. More than 200 teachers and students of HEU attended the briefing session and exchanged ideas regarding various frontiers of Science, Technology and research hotspots in this field.

Relevant persons in charge of the Engineering Research Center of the Ship Control Engineering Ministry of Education and the College of Automation attended the meeting.
