On November 12, the 16th Challenge Cup National College Students’ Extracurricular Academic and Technological Works Competition, ended in Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.After three days of fierce competition, the Design, Research and Development of Dual Fuel Micro Gas Turbine, directed by Wang Song of the Power College of our University, won the first prize. The Beidou Navigation Multiplier, directed by He Kunpeng of the Automation College, won the second prize.Sea Cucumber Fishing Device, directed by Zhu Haitao of the Shipping College, Muscle Puncture instrument based on spatial positioning and ultrasonic image guidance, directed by Luan Kuan of the Automation College, High-resolution Three-Dimensional Seabed Imaging Device, directed by Li Haisen of the Underwater Acoustics College, Preparation and Application of Cellulose Grafted Hyper Branched Amine Protein Adsorption material, directed by Zhao Fangbo of the Material and Chemistry College, won the third prizes of the competition, respectively. The school won the cup and achieved the historic record of “from zero to one” in Heilongjiang Province, during the past 30 years. Xia Guihua, deputy secretary of the Party committee of the University, went to the scene to guide and visit the students.
The 16th “Challenge Cup” National extracurricular academic Science and Technology competition for college students, was jointly held by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the China Association for Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the National Association of Students and the Beijing Municipal People’s Government and hosted by Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. It comprises of three kinds of competition: Natural Science academic papers, Social Science investigation reports and academic papers, as well as, scientific and technological invention and production. Nearly 3 million college students from 1573 colleges and universities, participated in the school level competition. After provincial competition, National preliminary evaluation and review, a total of 447 projects of 213 colleges and universities entered the final.
