Recently, the 6th China Postgraduate Energy Equipment Innovation Design Competition Finals was held at China University of Petroleum (East China). More than 1,000 teams of more than 150 universities local and abroad participated in the competition. At the end, nearly 300 projects of more than 120 colleges and universities reached the finals. In the competition, our school won 2 first prizes, 5 third prizes and also the outstanding organization award.
The work of Haiting SUN and other students “The Design of the Deep Water Horizontal Connector Pressure Cap” directed by Liquan WANG and Feihong YUN of the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the work of Lixian MIAO and other students “Based on the Principle of Remanence locking high - frequency Solenoid Valve,” directed by Yong LU from the College of Power and Energy Engineering，won the first prize. The work of Tang SHENG and other students “Electrical-Liquid Servo Horizontal Umbilical Cable In-Place Fatigue Testing Machine” directed by Jianjun YAO from the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the work of Shuaihu WANG and other students “The New Type of Hybrid Magnetorheological Fluid Damper with Multiple Wayside Passage” directed by Dan ZHAO and Shaogang LIU from the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the work of Jiachun ZHOU and other students “Multi-energy Complementary Intelligent Power Generation System at Sea” directed by Mingwei LI and Jing GENG from the College of Shipbuilding Engineering, the work of Zhihao CAO and other students “Magnetic Suspension Flywheel Energy Storage System” directed by Zhengyi REN from the College of Power and Energy Engineering，the work of Yulin WANG and other students “The Dexterous Photovoltaic Power Supply” directed by Qiang ZHANG from the College of Automation, won the third prize, respectively.
The competition is guided by the Ministry of Education’s Degree and Graduate Education Development Center, organized by the China Association for Science and Technology Youth Science and Technology Center, the Shandong Provincial Department of Education, the China Petroleum and Petrochemical Equipment Industry Association, and the China Petroleum Education Association and the China University of Petroleum (East China). Henceforth, Focusing on improving the ability of Postgraduate innovation and practice, the competition is guided by the National strategic needs, in accordance with the concept of “competing talents, talents leading innovation, innovation-driven development.” Thus, centering on the technological innovation of energy equipment, building a platform for graduate students to innovate, exchange and practice and for the government-industry-university-research-application cooperation .
The 6th China Postgraduate Energy Equipment Innovation Design Competition is one of the 11 theme competitions of the “China Postgraduate Innovation Practice Series Competition” in 2019. In order to actively respond to the National call, our school would enhance its support of the competition, according to the organizational model of the “school leading, colleges acting as the main body and disciplines cooperating.” Furthermore, proposing a series of support systems for the “project system cultivation, intra-school competition, and finals funding.” In the past three years, our school has won nearly 30 awards including the special award.
