The IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics and Automation (IEEE ICMA), a flagship international academic conference organized by the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, has been successfully held for 23 sessions and enjoys wide international recognition. The 24th IEEE ICMA will take place in Changchun, Jilin Province, China, from August 2–5, 2026.

Featuring plenary lectures, symposia, parallel oral sessions, and poster presentations, the conference provides a premier platform for academic exchange among domestic and international scholars and professionals working in mechatronics, robotics, automation, sensors, and intelligent systems. It aims to showcase the latest research achievements and explore future research trends and key technical challenges in these fields.

I. Topics of Interest

We invite submissions in the fields of mechatronics, automation, and intelligent systems. Topics include, but are not limited to:

1. Intelligent mechatronics, robotics, bionics, automation, and control systems

2. Optoelectronic components and materials, laser technology, and laser processing

3. Components, structures, mechanisms, and applications of micro/nano systems

4. Teleoperation, telerobotics, haptic feedback, and semi-autonomous teleoperation systems

5. Sensor design, multi-sensor data fusion algorithms, and wireless sensor networks

6. Biomedical and rehabilitation engineering, prosthetics, and artificial organs

7. Modeling and simulation technologies and methods for control systems

8. Artificial intelligence, intelligent control, neural control, fuzzy control, and related applications

9. Industrial automation, process control, manufacturing processes, and automation

II. Submission Guidelines

Paper Submission

• Papers must be submitted in PDF format and strictly follow IEEE Xplore PDF formatting requirements.

• Standard length is 6 pages, with a maximum of 8 pages (additional fees apply for extra pages).

• Accepted papers will be indexed by EI Compendex, and all conference proceedings will be submitted to IEEE Xplore®.

• Extended versions of selected outstanding papers will be published in regular or special issues of the International Journal of Mechatronics and Automation (IJMA).

Symposium Proposals

• Proposals should be submitted to the Symposium Chair by April 10, 2026.

• Each proposal must include the symposium title, organizers, and a brief statement of objectives.
