On March 23, the College of Nuclear Science and Technology held a meeting with the first Research Institute of Nuclear Power Institute of China to discuss the joint training of research, production, and teaching for nuclear engineering degree students. Tan Sichao, President of the College of Nuclear Science and Technology, Zhang Ling, Secretary of the Party Committee, Zhao Guang, director of the first Research Institute of Nuclear Power Institute of China, and Fuliangqian, Secretary of the Party Committee attended the meeting.

Tan Sichao presided over the meeting. In his speech, Mr. Tan extended a warm welcome to the delegation of the first Research Institute. He introduced the faculty, research direction, and technological advantages of the college. Mr. Tan pointed out that he hoped to cooperate closely with the first institute in the future, strengthen the integration of industry and education, and the joint training of students, establish long-term cooperation around the technical system, and carry out basic research and technical services.

Zhao Guang introduced the characteristics and advantages of the first institute in engineering application and basic research. He pointed out that research team form HEU has a good technical foundation in the research directions such as new working fluid reactor and spent fuel reprocessing. He hoped that the two sides could focus on the future direction of related technical issues, establish cooperation and mutual trust, work together to tackle key problems, and realize further cooperation.

Representatives of the two sides signed an agreement on jointly building a joint training base about research, production and education for nuclear engineering degree students.
