On April 28th, the president of Shanghai University, LIU Changsheng and his delegation, visited HEU for research. President and Deputy Secretary of HEU Party Committee YAO Yu attended and presided over the symposium.

YAO Yu welcomed the delegation from Shanghai University and briefly introduced the historical evolution and school characteristics of HEU. He said that Shanghai University has many valuable experiences to learn in building a high-level talent highland and the technology innovation center of global influence. He also hopes to further develop more comprehensive and in-depth cooperation with Shanghai University, achieve resource sharing, complementary advantages, win-win cooperation, and jointly make new explorations and create new experiences for building an educational powerhouse.

LIU Changsheng briefly introduced the history and recent development of Shanghai University. He said that Harbin Engineering University has made outstanding contributions to the country in various fields such as talent cultivation and technological innovation. He hopes that the two universities can establish a normalized cooperation mechanism in the future, help each other, and seek common development.

Vice principal YU Zhiwen stated that HEU has successively introduced the "14th Five Year Plan", the "Double First Class" construction plan, and the "Five Action Plans". This year, the entire school will further unify the thinking, consolidate consensus, and achieve tangible results.
