On the morning of June 27th, Tan Sichao, the Dean of the School of Nuclear Science and Technology, along with his delegation, visited China National Nuclear Research Institute Co., Ltd. for an exchange. The meeting was attended by Shu Rui, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of China National Nuclear Research Institute Co., Ltd.; Zhou Zhou, Deputy General Manager; Dong Chaoqun, Director of the Science and Technology Management Department; Yang Yuzhong, Director of the Planning and Development Department; and Guo Yongqiang, Director of the Human Resources Department. Representatives from the School of Aeronautics and Mathematics of HEU also participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, Tan Sichao expressed gratitude to China National Nuclear Power Research Institute for their long-term care and support in developing the nuclear discipline at the school. He expressed the hope that both parties would take the signing of a cooperation agreement as an opportunity to focus on the technological needs of China National Nuclear Power Corporation. The goal is to systematically carry out scientific research cooperation, establish a joint talent training model based on research collaboration between the school and the industry, build various experimental platforms, and engage in international exchange and cooperation activities.

Dong Chaoqun provided an overview of the scientific research situation and development plans of China Nuclear Power Research Institute Co., Ltd. He highlighted the significant partnership between Harbin Institute of Engineering and Nuclear Engineering, stating that both institutions have engaged in deep cooperation and exchanges in scientific research. He expressed the desire to further enhance scientific research collaboration in the future.
