Shan Zhongde, the President of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and his delegation came to HEU for an investigation.

On July 17, a delegation led by SHAN Zhongde, an academician of the CAE Member and President of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), along with SONG Yingdong, Vice President of NUAA, visited HEU for research and exchange. The forum was attended by YAO Yu, President of HEU, and Yu Zhiwen, Vice President. During the meeting, both parties engaged in profound discussions regarding their respective experiences and accomplishments in running universities, with a focus on advancing exchanges and cooperation to promote the construction of world-class universities with distinct characteristics. The symposium was attended by leaders of relevant units from both institutions.

YAO Yu expressed admiration for NUAA's successful approach, which effectively leverages its advantages and distinctive features, conducts crucial research, fosters high-level talents, drives the transformation and application of achievements, and serves the goals of scientific and technological self-reliance and economic and social development. This symposium and exchange serve as a concrete step to implement the overall objectives of the theme education focused on "learning ideas, valuing practice, and building new achievements." HEU looks forward to enhancing communication and interaction with NUAA, jointly exploring new avenues, and creating unique experiences in becoming an educational powerhouse, addressing the contemporary mission of "building a strong country through education," and advancing the development of world-class universities with distinct characteristics.

SHAN Zhongde congratulated the HEU on its 70th anniversary. He said that as a high-level Research university, HEU has distinctive school running characteristics and prominent advantages, making important contributions to scientific research and high-level personnel training in the national ship sea nuclear field. As both universities directly under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the two schools share a background of struggle, and a primary mission. They hope to learn from each other, inspire and motivate each other through in-depth communication and learning.
