Taking place from August 18th to 22nd, the 3rd National Teaching Innovation Competition for College Teachers was hosted at Zhejiang University. The competition, directed by the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education and sponsored by the Chinese Society of Higher Education, saw noteworthy achievements from Harbin Engineering University. The university secured one first prize, one second prize, and two third prizes in the competition.
Among the 239 courses in the national college promotion live competition, the course "Port Planning and Arrangement," led by Associate Professor LI Mingwei's team from the College of Shipbuilding Engineering, emerged as a standout. Their exceptional performance earned them the first prize in the New Engineering Vice High Group. Another commendable achievement came from the course "Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics," instructed by Professor JIA Niannian's team from the College of Mathematical Sciences, which secured the second prize in the Zhenggao Group of basic courses.
Furthermore, Professor LIU Zhilin's team from the College of Intelligent Systems and Engineering received the third prize in the Zhenggao Group of New Engineering for their course "Industrial Robot." Additionally, Professor LIU Haibo's team from the State Secrets College garnered the third prize in both the Zhenggao Group of New Engineering and the Ideological and Political Zhenggao Group for their course on "Artificial Intelligence."
