Harbin Engineering University's 70th Anniversary President Forum Held on Campus

On September 1st, Harbin Engineering University’s 70th anniversary President Forum was successfully held on campus. Presidents and academicians from nearly 40 universities in 9 countries including China, UK, Sweden, Portugal, Brazil, Peru, Thailand, and Pakistan gathered together. With the theme of "The Mission and Responsibility of Future Universities," they discussed the future development of global higher education.

President YAO Yu attended the meeting and delivered a speech. He expressed that over the past 70 years, the development strategies and educational concepts shared by global partners have continuously inspired the growth of Harbin Engineering University. Looking towards the future, Harbin Engineering University is willing to work together with global partners in addressing global issues and challenges, actively participating in global education governance, creating a win-win development situation, and injecting positive energy into the sustainable development of higher education, the exchange and mutual learning of human civilization, and the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.

In the report session of the forum, 10 domestic and foreign university leaders from shared their experiences and ideas on the future development of higher education.
