On September 1st, the donation ceremony for the "Underwater Sound Education Fund" took place in Conference Room 314 of the Underwater Sound Building. Gao Yan, the secretary of the University Party Committee, Yang Shie, an academician of the CAE and a professor in the College of Underwater Acoustic Engineering, and Han Duanfeng, the vice president of HEU, attended the ceremony.

Gao Yan expressed gratitude to the donors, Academician Yang Shie, and Professor Tian Tan, and welcomed the alumni who returned to the school for its 70th-anniversary celebration. He stated that experts from various research institutes and enterprises have always been dedicated to the development of underwater acoustic education. Yang Shie pointed out that after several generations of relentless efforts, the College of Underwater Acoustic Engineering has become the cradle for nurturing high-level underwater acoustic technology talents in China. It serves as the source of innovation for new theories, technologies, and methods in underwater acoustic technology. The college has made significant contributions to the advancement of China's underwater acoustic industry and its strategy of becoming a maritime power. He hopes that the experts, scholars, and alumni attending the conference will continue to collaborate and make further contributions to serving the national strategy and promoting the development of the underwater acoustic industry.

Academician Yang Shie donated 1 million yuan and presented the check card to Gao Yan.

Professor Tian Tan from the College of Underwater Acoustic Engineering contributed 850,000 yuan. Professor Sun Dajun, on his behalf, handed over the check card to Gao Yan.

Zhou Yiming, General Manager of Suzhou Shengzhiyuan Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., and an alumnus of the college who

entered the university in 1999, donated 200,000 yuan. Zhang Haigang, representing him, presented the check card to Gao Yan.
