On September 18, a delegation consisting of five individuals led by Lin Hai, Deputy Director of the Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City Administration Bureau, visited our institution. Principal Yao Yu and Deputy Principal Yan Rujian warmly welcomed Lin Hai and his team.

During the meeting, Principal Yao Yu emphasized that with the robust support from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Hainan Provincial Government, our university is committed to leveraging its strengths and further enhancing comprehensive collaboration with Sanya City. Additionally, HEU is eager to collaborate closely with the Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City Administration to expedite the establishment of significant science and technology industry platforms. These efforts will foster talent attraction and make significant contributions to advancing the national strategy and the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port.

Lin Hai provided insights into the progress of Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City's development. He acknowledged the positive contributions made by HEU's South China Sea Research Institute to the local community in scientific research, personnel training, and technology transfer. Lin Hai expressed the Administration's commitment to deepening cooperation with HEU, advancing the development of the deep-sea science and technology industry, and jointly supporting the construction of a maritime power and the establishment of Hainan as a hub for deep-sea science and technology innovation.
