Three HEU Scholars Receive 2023 "Marine Power Youth Scientist" and Nomination Awards"

The 2023 "Marine Power Youth Scientist" list was recently unveiled, featuring 10 exceptional young marine science and technology researchers in China. Notably, Professor LIU Songzuo from the College of Underwater Acoustic Engineering at HEU received this prestigious award. Additionally, two other individuals associated with HEU, namely Associate Professor HAN Xiao from the College of Underwater Acoustic Engineering and Researcher QIN Jixing, an alumnus from the class of 2005, earned nominations for the "Marine Power Youth Scientist" title.

At the award ceremony, a memorable group photo was taken with Professor LIU Songzuo, Associate Professor HAN Xiao, and QIN Jixing, celebrating their accomplishments and contributions to the field.

On October 8th, the grand award ceremony for the 2023 "Marine Power Youth Scientist" event took place in Xiangshan, Ningbo, Zhejiang.

LIU Songzuo - Marine Power Youth Scientist

Professor LIU Songzuo, a member of the Communist Party of China, serves as a professor and doctoral supervisor in the College of Underwater Acoustic Engineering at HEU. He is a national-level young talent and has held positions as Deputy Director of the National Key Laboratory of Underwater Acoustic Technology and Deputy Dean of the Southampton Institute of Ocean Engineering/Institute of Future Technology at HEU.

HAN Xiao - Nominee for "Marine Power Youth Scientist"

HAN Xiao is an Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor in the College of Underwater Acoustic Engineering at HEU. He also serves as the Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of Marine Information Technology in Heilongjiang Province. HAN Xiao has received recognition as part of the 6th Youth Talent Promotion Project of the China Association for Science and Technology and has obtained the Outstanding Youth Science Fund of Heilongjiang Province. Additionally, he holds the honorary title of Outstanding Team Member of China's 9th Arctic Scientific Expedition.

QIN Jixing - Nominee for "Marine Power Youth Scientist"

QIN Jixing is a researcher at the Institute of Acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He serves as a doctoral supervisor and holds the position of Deputy Director of the National Key Laboratory of Sound Field Information."
