Harbin Engineering University recently hosted a significant career fair at the Qihang Center, bringing together graduates from the Class of 2024 and 430 participating companies. Among the attendees were top ten military industrial groups and leading industry enterprises. Diverse and reputable organizations, such as China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited, China North Industries Group Corporation Limited, Huawei, and China Energy Engineering Corporation Limited, offered tens of thousands of job opportunities across various majors for the university's graduates. The event attracted thousands of students.

In recent years, the university has maintained a graduate job placement rate of over 93%, consistently ranking first in Heilongjiang Province for the past 15 years. Graduates primarily find employment in key sectors like the shipbuilding industry, naval equipment, ocean development, and nuclear energy application, all of which align with national strategic priorities. More than 70% of employed students contribute to national industrialization, informatization, and national defense modernization, with nearly 50% securing positions in both global and Chinese top 500 enterprises."
