On October 25th, the Education Department of Heilongjiang Province convened a meeting to discuss the integration of industry and education. During this gathering, seven universities, including HEU, were acknowledged as the initial group of Graduates Joint Training Bases for Production and Education Integration in Heilongjiang Province.

CHENG Shuang, Deputy Director of the Education Department of Heilongjiang Province, was present at the meeting and delivered a speech. She emphasized that advancing the integration of research, production, and education is a vital step in developing a robust education system and a prosperous province through science and education. This endeavor is also a central task for nurturing talent in the modern era. In the future, the Provincial Department of Education will establish a research, production, and education integrated training system with distinctive Heilongjiang features, primarily led by Longjiang Engineering Institute and supported by a provincial-level joint training base for research, production, and education integration.

YU Zhiwen, Vice President of HEU, was invited to attend the meeting and presented a talk on the theme "Prioritizing Major Needs and Innovating Training Models." He shared the innovative strategies and practical experiences of Longjiang Engineering Institute in organizing and managing the "1 institute+1 alliance," the "three questions in one" project for comprehensive training, the convergence of professional education and vocational qualifications, and the development of an integrated information service platform for production and education. He also introduced HEU's forthcoming plan for the National Institute of Excellent Engineers. YU Zhiwen noted that since 2021, HEU has been actively creating a pilot environment for cultivating and reforming outstanding engineers, with a focus on the service industry and regional development. HEU continues to harness the strengths of the political, industrial, academic, research, and organizational sectors, as well as the resources and platforms of the Longjiang Institute of Engineering, to cultivate more exceptional engineers for Heilongjiang.
