Recently, the national finals of the 6th University Student Competition for Five-Minute Research Presentations took place at Tongji University. In their inaugural participation, HEU students showcased exceptional performance. GAO Jiarong, a Ph.D. student from the College of Nuclear Science and Technology (Class of 2022), and SUN Chenxi, an undergraduate student from the School of Foreign Studies (Class of 2020), received the National First Prize. Moreover, our institution secured 2 First Prizes, 12 Second Prizes, and 11 Third Prizes.

The School of Foreign Studies demonstrated a strong commitment to this competition. Key teachers, including LIANG Hong, ZHOU Weiwei, and CHEN Haixia, formed the Harbin Engineering University Division Competition Committee. In addition, outstanding teachers from the Department of Graduate Public English Teaching and Research constituted a guidance group to offer comprehensive support and direction to the participating students.
