On December 26th, Governor LIU Xiaoming of Hainan Province led a delegation to the Nanhai Institute of HEU for research and guidance, accompanied by provincial leaders ZHOU Hongbo and XIE Jing, as well as the Secretary-General of the Provincial Government, FU Xuanchao. HEU Vice President YAN Rujian participated in the research.
During the visit, Governor LIU Xiaoming explored the Deep or Far Sea Intelligent Unmanned Equipment Support Center to gain a comprehensive understanding of the school's status and the development of the Nanhai Institute. He praised the school's achievements in advancing the application of unmanned equipment in the South China Sea, researching and developing low-frequency and high-pressure air guns for deep-sea exploration, and innovating in the collaborative integration of cruise ships for a complete intelligent chain.
Vice President YAN Rujian provided Governor LIU Xiaoming with a detailed report on HEU's implementation of President XI Jinping’s important speeches during his inspection of HEU and the Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City. He also reported on HEU's commitment to serving the strategy of building a strong maritime nation. By focusing on the urgent needs for the development of deep-sea unmanned equipment and deep-sea information, HEU has established a Future Technology and Industrial Innovation Platform for Deep Sea or Far Sea Unmanned Equipment in Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City, Sanya.
Throughout the research, Governor LIU Xiaoming engaged in a friendly exchange with teachers and students from the unmanned underwater vehicle research team to understand the operational indicators and functions of the underwater vehicle. He expressed hope that universities in Hainan would embrace a broad vision of "vital importance to the nation," accelerate the landing and transformation of more mature technologies in Hainan, promote the high-quality development of Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City, and make significant contributions to the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
