On March 13th, LI Xiang, President of the National University of Defense Technology, along with a team of 9 members, conducted research at HEU. They began their visit by touring the Memorial Hall of the PLA Military Institute of Engineering and several laboratories. GAO Yan, Secretary of the HEU Party Committee, and YIN Jingwei, Vice President, accompanied the delegation.

Subsequently, President LI Xiang and his team engaged in discussions and exchanged ideas with HEU in the Large Conference Room of the main building. YAO Yu, President of HEU, presided over the meeting, with Vice President YU Zhiwen and President's Assistant GENG Jing in attendance.

During the symposium, President YAO Yu extended a warm welcome to the delegation from the National University of Defense Technology, expressing hope for collaborative efforts between the two institutions to advance national maritime power, cultivate a world-class military force, and achieve technological self-reliance and advancement.

President LI Xiang emphasized the shared origins of HEU and the National University of Defense Technology, highlighting their significant contributions to the nation's defense. He expressed his desire for the universities to join forces and pursue extensive cooperation in high-level talent training and scientific research to further China's modernization.

Vice President YU Zhiwen provided insights into the development history, educational characteristics, and practices of the institution in the new era.

President LI Xiang and his team then engaged in comprehensive discussions with the deans of relevant departments on talent team building, talent cultivation, scientific research, and other pertinent topics.
