On March 15th, WANG Sheng, Jieyang Municipal Party Committee Secretary, and CAI Danqun, the Executive Vice Mayor of Jieyang City, visited HEU for research purposes and to discuss matters related to strengthening technological cooperation in the field of marine engineering equipment. GAO Yan, HEU’s Party Secretary, attended the meeting, while Vice President YIN Jingwei presided over the discussion.

GAO Yan warmly welcomed WANG Sheng and his delegation, emphasizing the university's commitment to enhancing research and innovation platforms, promoting high-level scientific research outcomes, and bolstering its capacity for social services. He expressed hope for collaboration across various domains, strengthening the integration of industry, university, and research, actively promoting the industrialization process of major scientific and technological projects, and driving sustained and healthy development of the local economy, thus making greater contributions to societal progress.

WANG Sheng highlighted Jieyang City's unique strengths in various fields such as land, sea, air, and rail transportation. He emphasized the broad opportunities for exchange and cooperation between Harbin Engineering University and Jieyang City in areas including science and technology innovation and platform development, with significant potential for collaboration. He expressed expectations for further deepening cooperation to propel both sides toward higher levels of development.

CAI Danqun provided a detailed introduction to the historical background of Jieyang City, as well as achievements in urban-rural development and other aspects.
