During the May 4th Youth Day celebrations, the People's Daily announced the representative list of the National Scholarship Award Winners for the 2022-2023 academic year on May 4th and May 5th. Among the distinguished awardees were ZHANG Jiayi, an undergraduate student from the College of Nuclear Science and Technology, and YANG Xiaokang, a master's student from the College of Power and Energy Engineering at HEU. Both were recognized as exemplary representatives among the national scholarship recipients.

Following rigorous selection and assessment procedures, 60,000 outstanding undergraduate and professional training students nationwide received the National Scholarship for the 2022-2023 academic year, while 45,000 exceptional graduate students were awarded the National Scholarship for Graduate Students for the same academic period.
