On May 14th, LI Binglong, Deputy Mayor of the Zhangjiagang Municipal Government, led a delegation to HEU for field research and idea exchange. The goal was to foster deep integration among innovation, industrial, capital, and talent chains. This visit aimed to strengthen cooperation between the university and local government, accelerating the transformation of scientific and technological innovations. President SONG Yingdong accompanied LI Binglong and his delegation on a tour of the university history museum, while Vice President YIN Jingwei attended the symposium.
YIN Jingwei provided an overview of HEU, emphasizing its strong foundation for collaboration with Zhangjiagang, particularly in areas such as underwater sensors and new materials. He expressed eagerness to deepen cooperation to further serve local economic and social development.
LI Binglong outlined Zhangjiagang's recent efforts to promote its "4+4" characteristic industrial system, spanning metallurgical and advanced materials, intelligent high-end equipment, textiles, biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, digital economy, new energy, and semiconductors. He commended the university's contributions to national defense and scientific innovation. Department heads from both sides discussed ongoing scientific research and local policies, exchanging ideas on future cooperation directions.
