President SONG Yingdong and Director of the Joint Institute of Informatics at the Belarusian National Academy of Sciences Hold Talks and Exchanges

On May 20th, President SONG Yingdong met with Andrei Bandalouski, Director of the Joint Institute of Informatics at the Belarusian National Academy of Sciences, in the VIP conference room of the main building. They discussed deepening cooperation between HEU and the institute.

SONG Yingdong provided a brief overview of HEU’s history, characteristics, and strong disciplines. He expressed a desire for HEU to engage in more exchanges and collaborations with Belarusian research institutions, aiming to promote scientific and technological progress, improve living standards, and strengthen friendly relations between the two countries. This initiative aligns with HEU’s commitment to the national education opening-up strategy. He highlighted the solid foundation already established through joint research with the Joint Institute of Informatics and hoped to deepen collaboration in scientific research, talent cultivation, cooperative exchanges, and platform construction. He emphasized the importance of transforming scientific and technological achievements and expanding cooperation in related fields.

Andrei Bandalouski outlined the basic operations of the Joint Institute of Informatics and praised the achievements of their collaboration with HEU. He affirmed the institute’s willingness to enhance cooperation and exchange with HEU, including signing cooperation agreements. He expressed a commitment to deepening and enriching collaboration in various areas, such as the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, joint talent training, and teacher-student exchanges and visits.

During the meeting, both parties exchanged gifts. Officials from the International Department, the Intelligent Science and Engineering College, and other relevant departments participated in the discussions.
