World Champions Share Growth Experience at HEU

On May 31st, eight athletes and coaches who have achieved sports championships visited HEU to share their personal growth journeys with students, engage in interactive sessions, and demonstrate their signature moves.

Prior to the lecture, Principal Assistant ZHAO Yuxin met with the champions and students in the VIP room on the eighth floor of the main building. He extended a warm welcome to the champions and introduced HEU's commitment to sports and talent development, highlighting the institution's history and dedication to promoting students' physical well-being and sports literacy. He emphasized HEU's focus on fostering high-level sports teams, including athletics, women's basketball, and women's volleyball. He invited the champions to contribute their expertise to HEU, promoting sports development and physical fitness among college students, and making positive contributions to the Asian Winter Games and the advancement of ice and snow sports in Heilongjiang.

During the lecture, athletes and coaches such as LI Wenwen, world champion in short-track speed skating; LI Shuang, world champion in women's U-shaped snowboarding; ZHU Qiuying, national champion in figure skating; YU Xinna, national champion in curling; DU Chao, national champion in men's ice hockey; and MA Haiyan, head coach of the Harbin Women's Wrestling Team, shared their experiences and successes with students through keynote speeches and video presentations. Their unwavering spirit inspired the teachers and students in attendance, earning enthusiastic applause.

The champions provided guidance and demonstrations while interacting with the students.

Following the session, students eagerly took photos with their favorite champions and sought their autographs.
