On August 18, Harbin Engineering University held the inaugural meeting of the Advisory Committee for the Development of the Materials Science and Engineering Discipline. The meeting took place in a hybrid format, both online and offline. Attendees included President SONG Yingdong, Vice President YU Zhiwen, and Assistant President and Director of Human Resources YIN Hang.

SONG Yingdong welcomed the guests on behalf of the university and expressed his gratitude to the academicians for their valuable guidance. He emphasized the hope that this advisory meeting would be a catalyst for advancing new achievements in materials science and engineering at HEU, ensuring alignment with national strategic needs, and fostering top-tier innovative talent.
