HEU Hosts Seminar on Shangzhi City's 38-Kilometer Agricultural Industrial Belt Plan

The 13th National Conference on Fluid Mechanics was held in Harbin from August 9th to 13th. The event brought together eight academicians and over 2,300 experts and scholars, who engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges in the field of fluid mechanics, showcasing the latest research achievements.

The conference was hosted by the Fluid Mechanics Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, organized by Harbin Engineering University, and co-organized by the Frontier Science Center for Extreme Marine Environmental Wave Fields, the National Key Laboratory of Underwater Acoustic Technology, the National Key Laboratory of Ship Structural Safety, the National Key Laboratory of Intelligent Marine Vehicle Technology, and the National Key Laboratory of Hydrodynamics. The event received guidance and funding from the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

The opening ceremony was presided over by HE Guowei, with speeches delivered by GAO Yan, ZHENG Xiaojing, ZHANG Panfeng, and ZHOU Jifu.

Nine keynote speeches were delivered during the conference:

Academician LU Xiyun from the University of Science and Technology of China presented on "Research on Multi-Process Problems of Extreme Flow."

Academician XIA Keqing from the South University of Science and Technology discussed "Regulating Large Scale Turbulent Structures through Small Scale Regulation: Symmetry Breaking, Symmetry Restoration, and Turbulent Transport."

Academician LI Hui from Harbin Institute of Technology spoke on "Intelligent Computing."

Academician DUAN Huiling from Peking University addressed "Research on the Mechanics of Sliding Boundary Problems in Underwater Flow."

Professor Stern from the University of Iowa gave a talk on "Four-Dimensional Particle Tracking Velocimetry and Separation Vortex Simulation of the Turbulent Structure and Vortex Interaction of the Sonar Dome on the 5415 Ship Model."

Professor FU Song from Tsinghua University presented on "The Study of Complex Flow Instability in the Boundary Layer of Hypersonic Aircraft."

Professor WANG Jinjun from Beihang University discussed "New Advances and Applications in Experimental Technology."

Professor LUO Xisheng, Director of the Institute of Mechanics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered a report on "Regulation of Shock-Induced Interface Evolution."

Professor ZHANG Aman from Harbin Engineering University presented on "The Progress of Bubble Dynamics Research."
