Young Engineers Forum at the 13th CIMAC International Hosted by HEU

On August 14-15, 2024, the 13th International Young Engineers Forum of the International Council on Combustion Engines (CIMAC) was successfully held in Qingdao, Shandong Province. The event, hosted by CIMAC, the Chinese Society of Internal Combustion Engines, and the Intelligence Base of Harbin Engineering University (HEU), provided a valuable platform for young engineers and students worldwide engaged in internal combustion engine research. Attendees had the opportunity to interact with leading industry experts, learn from each other, and exchange ideas.

The forum attracted over 100 young scholars and engineers from China, Japan, South Korea, and Europe. JIN Donghan, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, former President of CIMAC, Chairman of the Chinese Society of Internal Combustion Engines, and President of Tianjin University, delivered the opening speech. HUANG Zuohua, Executive Director of the Chinese Society of Internal Combustion Engines and Professor at Xi'an Jiaotong University, gave the keynote address. Yasuvuki Takahata, Vice President of CIMAC, and Professor LIU Long of HEU chaired the sessions. More than 10 teachers and students from HEU attended the conference, including Associate Professor WANG Yang, who presented a special invited report titled "Combustion Performance of Marine Engines under Reactive Atmosphere Control."
