On September 2nd, WANG Xingwei, Vice President of Northeastern University, led a delegation on a visit to Harbin Engineering University (HEU) for research. YU Zhiwen, Vice President of HEU, attended the symposium.

During the meeting, YU Zhiwen gave a brief overview of HEU's strengths, focusing on its "three seas and one core" (shipbuilding industry, marine equipment, ocean exploration, and nuclear energy application )initiative and its talent development efforts. He expressed gratitude for Northeastern University's support of HEU’s growth and development and emphasized the hope that this visit would serve as an opportunity to further strengthen the relationship between the two universities. YU Zhiwen also called for increased exchanges and collaboration, with an open mind and practical actions, to jointly contribute to the high-quality development of China's modern economy and society.
WANG Xingwei provided a brief introduction to Northeastern University's development and unique characteristics. He acknowledged HEU's distinctive industry focus and expressed the desire for closer collaboration and more frequent exchanges to foster practical cooperation between the two institutions.
