On September 6th, Deputy Mayor LV Jie of Lianyungang City led a delegation to HEU for research, accompanied by Vice President YAN Rujian.

The delegation visited the PLA Military Institute of Engineering Memorial Hall, where they gained a comprehensive understanding of HEU’s development, educational strengths, and notable achievements.

LV Jie provided an overview of Lianyungang City's key industries, current status, and future development plans. He emphasized the potential for collaboration between Lianyungang and HEU in areas such as shipbuilding and emerging industries. He expressed hope that this visit would serve as a catalyst for advancing technological innovation and injecting new momentum into Lianyungang’s industrial transformation and upgrading.

SONG Yingdong shared insights into HEU’s history, educational focus, and technological accomplishments. He reiterated the university’s commitment to addressing the country’s major strategic needs by translating scientific research into practical applications that support both national and local economic growth. He expressed a desire to establish a mutually beneficial platform with Lianyungang to jointly promote high-quality regional economic development.
