On September 23, XIE Daixin, the president of the Nanjing Alumni Association of PLA Military Academy of Engineering and a 1961 alumnus, along with YE Hui, the rotating president of the same association and president of the Nanjing Alumni Association of PLA Military Academy of Engineering, visited the school. The symposium was attended by President SONG Yingdong as well as Vice Presideng HAN Duanfeng.

SONG Yingdong introduced the university's development characteristics and alumni culture, expressing gratitude to the Nanjing Alumni Association of the PLA Military Academy of Engineering for its contributions over the years in areas such as industry-education integration, enrollment promotion, and talent acquisition. He stated that HEU would continue to explore the significance of the excellent traditions of the PLA Military Academy of Engineering in the new era and collaborate with alumni to achieve new milestones.

XIE Daixin shared the historical development and activities of the Nanjing Alumni Association, highlighting the strong support the association has received from its alma mater. He noted that this support has provided valuable services to alumni, serving as a solid backing for them. Moving forward, the Nanjing Alumni Association will maintain close ties with the alma mater and act as an important link to Nanjing.

During the meeting, XIE Daisen and YE Hui, representing the Nanjing Alumni Association, presented a chronicle, a commemorative album, and other materials to HEU.

The delegation also visited the HEU Memorial Hall, the HEU History Museum, and the Alumni Forest.
