On October 22, TAO Yong, Deputy Party Secretary of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), and his delegation visited Harbin Engineering University (HEU) to conduct research on faculty team building and related topics. ZHANG Shimei, Deputy Party Secretary of HEU, LI Rongsheng, Minister of Organization, and YIN Hang, Assistant to the President, attended the meeting.
ZHANG Shimei warmly welcomed Secretary TAO and his delegation, noting that NUAA has developed distinct characteristics and strengths over the years, significantly contributing to China's aerospace and civil aviation industries as well as to national socio-economic development. She expressed hope for deeper exchanges, mutual learning, and collaborative advancement, emphasizing the importance of broadening the scope of cooperation and enhancing its effectiveness to accelerate the construction of world-class universities with unique features.
TAO Yong highlighted HEU's rich heritage rooted in revolutionary traditions and its substantial contributions to national development. He expressed his desire for both institutions to leverage their unique strengths, deepen and expand their exchanges and cooperation, complement each other’s advantages, and work closely together to promote new industrialization, thereby contributing more to the advancement of China's modernization.
Before the meeting, TAO Yong and his delegation visited the Harbin Engineering University Museum to gain a deeper understanding of the university's historical development.
Following the meeting, both parties held separate discussions to exchange experiences and practices regarding faculty team building in greater depth.
