On October 29th, the final of the "Love Ice and Snow, Welcome the Asian Winter Games" knowledge competition was successfully held at the Harbin Youth Palace. The event was organized by the Heilongjiang Provincial Youth League Committee and hosted by the Harbin Municipal Youth League Committee. Competing students XU Wunan, YUAN Xiaoyu, and LIU Yifan from Harbin Engineering University of Foreign Languages, under the guidance of their coach, Teacher WANG Luyao, secured the first prize in the provincial competition. Their victory was attributed to their strong knowledge base, excellent teamwork, and steady performance. In addition, HEU was honored with the "Best Organization Award," highlighting the exceptional contributions of the university's volunteers for the Asian Winter Games.

The event was attended by XU Changyong, Secretary of the Provincial Youth League Committee; ZHOU Chenggang, Secretary of the Municipal Youth League Committee; XU Ling, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Youth League Committee; LIU Chang, Deputy Minister of the School Department of the Provincial Youth League Committee; and WANG Na, Minister of the Student and Child Affairs Department of the Municipal Youth League Committee. Over 700 young students from universities across Harbin were also present to watch the competition.

The 9th Asian Winter Games will be held in Harbin in February 2025. To promote the city and showcase its rich ice and snow cultural heritage, 43 universities held internal selections, recommending 129 students to participate in the preliminary rounds of the knowledge competition. After the preliminaries, 12 teams advanced to the semi-finals, where six teams emerged as finalists following several rounds of intense competition.
