HEU Wins the 'Cup of Excellence' for Six Consecutive Sessions!

On November 2nd, the 14th Challenge Cup QinChangYuan Platform National College Students' Entrepreneurship Competition came to a close. Teams from Harbin Engineering University (HEU) earned 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals, and 3 bronze medals, securing 12th place (tied) nationally and 1st place in the province in the main competition. With these outstanding results, HEU once again won the "Cup of Excellence," marking the sixth consecutive year the university has received this prestigious honor.

Among HEU's award-winning projects, Building Dreams in Blue – Multi-Platform Communication and Positioning Integrated Network Equipment for the Deep Sea was the only project in the province to win a gold medal in the Science and Technology Innovation and Future Industry Track.

HEU places great emphasis on the reform and development of innovation and entrepreneurship education, continuously building a comprehensive platform for student-driven innovation. Since the competition's inception, the university has actively organized and meticulously prepared for the event. After several rounds of internal evaluations, 72 teams were selected to represent HEU in the provincial competition. At the provincial level, HEU teams achieved remarkable results, winning 14 gold, 19 silver, and 21 bronze medals. Following more than 20 rounds of on-site optimization, six teams advanced to the National Competition, where they ultimately earned 1 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze medals, clinching the "Cup of Excellence."

Project Name: Building Dreams in Blue – Multi-Platform Communication and Positioning Integrated Network Equipment for the Deep Sea

Project Overview: This project addresses the need for multifunctional, highly maneuverable underwater unmanned vehicles designed for deep-sea industrial work. The team developed an integrated network device for underwater acoustic communication and positioning, which enables reliable communication across multiple nodes and precise underwater target positioning. This innovative system provides a comprehensive software and hardware solution for the research and development of underwater communication and positioning equipment, supporting the advancement of smart ocean technologies and the high-quality development of underwater communication systems.
