On November 23rd and 24th, the 2nd Forum on the First-Class Discipline of Business Administration in Northeast China focused on "Empowering Business Administration through Digitalization for High-Quality Development," was held at Harbin Engineering University (HEU). The forum brought together over 150 experts and scholars to engage in in-depth discussions on the theme of "Digitalization-Driven High-Quality Development of Business Administration." Vice President ZHAO Yuxin attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech.
In his speech, Vice President ZHAO highlighted that in recent years, the School of Economics and Management at HEU has leveraged its unique strengths in fields such as shipbuilding, marine engineering, and nuclear energy to advance its business administration discipline. He expressed hope that hosting the forum would deepen collaboration with experts and scholars, accelerating the digital transformation of the business management discipline. This, he noted, would help position HEU’s economics and management programs among the best in the country and further contribute to national economic and social development.
SHU Chang, Vice President of Gaodun Group and General Manager of the School-Enterprise Cooperation Business Department, spoke on behalf of the forum's organizers. He emphasized that as digitalization and intelligence increasingly integrate into society, the field of business administration faces both new challenges and opportunities. He expressed optimism that the forum's discussions would generate innovative ideas, methods, and momentum to further advance the development of the business administration discipline and talent cultivation, not only in Northeast China but nationwide.
