On December 5, The College of Shipbuilding Engineering signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the Key Laboratory of Fluid-Solid Coupling System in Mechanics, Institute of Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. LIU Xiaoming, Deputy Director of the Institute of Mechanics of the CAS, and ZHAO Yuxin, HEU Vice President attended the signing ceremony. This cooperation covers multiple aspects such as talent cultivation, scientific research cooperation, personnel recruitment, and academic exchanges, aiming to promote the innovative development of both parties in the field of fluid-solid coupling system in mechanics.

ZHAO Yuxin stated that HEU and the Institute of Mechanics of the CAS have close cooperation in scientific research, talent training, academic exchanges, etc., focusing on the field of marine engineering. He hopes that in the future, both parties can achieve more innovations in the field of fluid-solid coupling system in mechanics, providing strong intellectual support for the strategic development of a national maritime power.

LIU Xiaoming affirmed that signing the strategic cooperation framework agreement is beneficial for both parties to explore the cutting-edge issues in this field, inspire the technological innovation, and overcome key technical challenges in practical engineering. In the future, he hopes to cultivate future research elites through various channels such as joint training programs, in-depth academic exchanges, and joint laboratory construction.
The persons in charge and young teachers from both sides, based on their own research work experience, provide suggestion on how to develop the work of the college and key laboratories in the future, and engage in discussions on talent cultivation, scientific research, and other aspects.
