On December 16th, the Society of China University Journals (CUJS) held its annual meeting, where it recognized the "2024 Chinese University Scientific and Technology Journal Construction Demonstration Library • Outstanding/Top 100/Excellent Scientific Journal Cases." Four scientific journals from Harbin Engineering University (HEU) were honored in this prestigious selection. Among them, the Journal of Harbin Engineering University, Journal of Harbin Engineering University (English Edition), Journal of Marine Science and Application, and Journal of Intelligent Systems were ranked among the Top 100 Scientific Journal Cases. Additionally, the Applied Science and Technology journal was selected as an Excellent Scientific Journal Case.

The selection process was based on recommendations from various university-affiliated scientific journal publishing units. Final decisions were made after a thorough analysis of third-party objective data, including evaluations from domestic and international databases and assessment agencies. In total, 40 Outstanding Scientific Journal Cases, 187 Top 100 Scientific Journal Cases, and 284 Excellent Scientific Journal Cases were selected.

The "2024 Chinese University Scientific and Technology Journal Construction Demonstration Library • Outstanding/Top 100/Excellent Scientific Journal Cases" is conducted biennially. Its purpose is to highlight exemplary cases that can inspire and guide progress in the field. The initiative encourages university-based scientific journal editing and publishing units to continuously improve editorial quality, publication standards, and academic impact. This effort also supports the advancement of the “Double First-Class” strategy in higher education institutions.
