On the 20th, Abdelsalam Ali Helal, Moustafa Amin Youssef, and CAO Jiannong Cao were officially appointed as visiting professors at Harbin Engineering University (HEU). The appointment ceremony was attended by YU Zhiwen, Vice President of HEU, who presented the new appointees with certificates and university badges.
Abdelsalam Ali Helal is a distinguished academician of the European Academy of Sciences and a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Bologna, Italy. He is a fellow of several prestigious organizations, including ACM, IEEE, AAAS, AAIA, and IET.
Moustafa Amin Youssef is a professor at the American University in Cairo, as well as the founder and director of the Egyptian Center of Excellence for Wireless Networks. He is a fellow of both IEEE and ACM. Currently, he serves as an associate editor for IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing (TMC) and ACM Transactions on Sensor and Ad Hoc Communications (TSAS). Youssef has received numerous accolades, including the Best Paper Award at the 2013 ACM SIGSpatial GIS Conference, the 2017 National Award of Egypt, and multiple Google Research Awards.
CAO Jiannong is a professor at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and an academician of both the European Academy of Sciences and the Hong Kong Academy of Engineering Sciences. He holds multiple leadership roles at the university, including Dean of the Graduate School, Director of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things, Director of the Internet and Mobile Computing Laboratory, and Founder and Director of the Big Data Analysis Center Laboratory. Cao is also a fellow of IEEE and CCF.
