On January 21, LUO Wenhu, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Education, visited Harbin Engineering University (HEU) to extend his appreciation to the volunteers supporting the Winter Asian Games. He was accompanied by SHI Xiaojun, Full-time Deputy Secretary of the Temporary Party Committee of the Winter Asian Games Organizing Committee. LI Rongsheng, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee, and LV Kaidong, Director of the Publicity Department, also joined the visit.

LUO Wenhu highlighted the essential role that volunteers play in the success of the Winter Asian Games. As the opening ceremony approached, he emphasized the importance of volunteers fulfilling their duties with dedication and professionalism. He encouraged the volunteers to embody the spirit of “dedication, friendship, mutual assistance, and progress,” strengthening their character, gaining valuable experience, and contributing meaningfully through their service.

LI Rongsheng shared that the university places great importance on supporting the volunteer efforts for the Winter Asian Games. HEU has established a comprehensive coordination system based on the principles of “simplicity, safety, and excellence” in event organization. A dedicated task force was formed to ensure strong support for the volunteers, and detailed work plans were implemented to ensure that students were well-catered to, with comfortable meals, accommodations, and reliable services. Additionally, a series of professional training sessions were conducted to improve the volunteers’ skills and competencies. With enthusiasm, expertise, and a spirit of teamwork, HEU volunteers are committed to making a significant contribution to the Games.

On behalf of the Winter Asian Games Organizing Committee, SHI Xiaojun presented a letter of appreciation to the university, recognizing its outstanding support for the event.
