On April 1, SUN Qiuye, Vice President of Shenyang University of Technology, led a delegation on an academic visit to Harbin Engineering University (HEU). Vice President ZHAO Yuxin participated in the symposium, where both parties engaged in a thorough discussion on the development of the National Outstanding Engineers College and initiatives for talent cultivation.

ZHAO Yuxin provided an overview of HEU's historical development, disciplinary strengths, and faculty growth initiatives. He praised Shenyang University of Technology for its innovative approaches to industry-academia collaboration and the development of dual-qualified faculty, which serve as valuable models. Zhao proposed the establishment of regular exchange mechanisms to foster cooperation, with both institutions pooling their expertise and resources to support the comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China.

SUN Qiuye highlighted that Shenyang University of Technology, as a key engineering university in Liaoning Province, boasts a broad range of disciplines and a rich academic tradition. He commended Harbin Engineering University for its consistent excellence in cultivating outstanding engineers, achieving significant success in talent development and retention. SUN proposed strengthening collaboration between the two institutions to jointly address key challenges in engineering education, with the aim of better serving national priorities and socioeconomic development.

The delegation also visited the Harbin Military Engineering Institute Memorial Hall and conducted technical inspections at the Nuclear Power Simulation Research Center.
