On April 19, the National Demonstration Center for Experimental Teaching in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Harbin Engineering University (HEU) successfully hosted the "12th Electrical and Electronics Foundation Course Experimental Teaching Case Design Competition (Siglent Cup) Northern Division Competition and the 2025 Joint Conference of Electrical and Electronics Experimental Teaching Centers in Northern Universities." YAO Zhen, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of HEU, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. A total of 33 universities from Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, and Inner Mongolia participated, with our university securing 9 first prizes, 9 second prizes, and 8 third prizes.
LIU Liqiang, Vice President of Inner Mongolia University of Technology, along with over 20 experts from the three provinces and one autonomous region, attended the event.
YAO Zhen noted that this year's joint conference of the Northern Division Electrical and Electronics Experimental Teaching Centers focused on the themes of "resource sharing and collaborative development." Leading enterprises were invited to transform cutting-edge industrial technologies into teaching projects, providing a platform for experimental centers across the four northern regions to pursue shared growth. He expressed hope that the competition would serve as an opportunity for mutual learning and improvement among participating institutions, collectively fostering new momentum for cultivating talent suited to the demands of the new era.
Professor WANG Shujuan, head of the competition arbitration panel, emphasized in her speech that the event was not only a practical test of teachers' achievements in teaching research and reform but also a profound exchange of ideas and methodologies in experimental education. She encouraged participants to showcase their innovative teaching outcomes with enthusiasm, professionalism, and an open mindset, gaining valuable insights through interaction and mutual growth. Professor DENG Tianping, Director of the National Demonstration Center for Experimental Teaching in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the School of Electronic Information and Communications, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, along with over 20 attending experts, presented awards to the winning teachers.
