On April 24, LU Jinshu, Vice President of Zhejiang Ocean University, led his delegation to visit Harbin Engineering University for a research exchange. Assistant President YIN Hang attended the symposium, where both parties engaged in discussions on deepening collaboration in fields such as ship and marine engineering equipment, underwater acoustic engineering, and underwater robotics.

YIN Hang provided a brief overview of the HEU's historical development, distinctive features, talent cultivation, and scientific achievements. He emphasized that as sibling institutions dedicated to marine development, the two universities share similar strengths and a natural foundation for cooperation. He expressed hope for further collaboration to jointly enhance China's independent innovation capabilities in marine science and technology.

LU Jinshu presented Zhejiang Ocean University's academic focus, achievements in talent cultivation, and research progress. He highlighted HEU's leading role in China's ship and marine engineering sector, particularly in discipline development, scientific research, and education. He proposed expanding cooperation across broader areas, deepening collaborative efforts, and diversifying partnership models to cultivate more skilled professionals for the industry.
During the symposium, participants from both sides exchanged views on scientific research, faculty development, and talent cultivation.
Before the symposium, the delegation visited the Harbin Military Engineering Memorial Hall and the Scientific Achievements Exhibition.
