
On April 30, DU Shaohua, the vice mayor of Jiujiang, and a seven-member delegation paid a visit to Harbin Engineering University (HEU) for a research symposium. GAO Yan, the Party secretary of HEU, attended the symposium and delivered a speech. YIN Jingwei and ZHAO Yuxin, the Vice presidents of HEU, and YIN Hang, the Assistant President, also participated in the event.

GAO Yan extended a warm welcome to DU Shaohua and his delegation, providing an overview of HEU’s history and development. He highlighted past collaborative achievements in talent cultivation and scientific innovation, emphasizing the university’s commitment to leveraging its academic strengths and local advantages to deepen integration between education, talent development, industry, and innovation—enhancing its capacity to support high-quality development.

DU Shaohua commended the progress made in prior collaborations and expressed a vision for further cooperation. He noted that Jiujiang is focusing on a new model of "promoting industry through education and supporting education through industry," aiming to strengthen industry-education integration platforms with HEU. The effort seeks to accelerate the translation of research outcomes from the lab to industrial applications, injecting new momentum into Jiujiang’s high-quality, leapfrog development.
