Executive Vice President LI Shixin of China Institute of Navigation on Research Visit to HEU

On May 13, a delegation from the China Institute of Navigation (CIN), led by its Executive Vice President LI Shixin, visited Harbin Engineering University (HEU) to gain an in-depth understanding of its scientific research achievements and talent team construction, and held a symposium to discuss expanding cooperation between the two sides. President SONG Yingdong welcomed the delegation in the VIP conference room on the eighth floor. Vice President YIN Jingwei attended the symposium.

SONG Yingdong extended a warm welcome to LI Shixin and his delegation. He highlighted that CIN is a vital force in comprehensively advancing the development of China's maritime industry, with a long history, comprehensive disciplinary coverage, and a wide membership network, exerting extensive and profound influence in the maritime field. He expressed the hope that both sides will deepen cooperation in talent training, scientific research, and other areas in the future, making greater contributions to supporting high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and independent talent cultivation in the shipbuilding and marine industries.  

LI Shixin stated that CIN is committed to serving maritime technological progress and talent cultivation, actively engaging in the training of maritime science and technology professionals, and promoting the development of maritime technology. HEU, as a high-level research university in the ship and marine field, has made significant contributions to the high-quality development of the shipbuilding industry. He expressed the hope that both sides will further strengthen communication and jointly contribute wisdom and strength to the country's marine construction.  

Vice President YIN Jingwei showcased HEU’s breakthroughs in intelligent marine equipment, underwater acoustic technology, and autonomous navigation systems. He proposed enhanced cooperation with CIN in scientific and technological achievement evaluation, joint construction of academic platforms, and collaboration on maritime journals, to contribute to the development of the shipbuilding industry.

Following the symposium, LI Shixin and his delegation investigated and visited the Harbin Military Engineering Memorial Hall, the scientific and technological achievements exhibition, and related laboratories.
